Research Description: The Scratch & Win – Giveaways and Contests. Boost subscribers, traffic, repeat visits, referrals, sales and more plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the plugin's 'swin-campaign' shortcode in all versions up to, and including, 2.6.9 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user supplied attributes. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.

Research Description: The Scratch & Win – Giveaways and Contests. Boost subscribers, traffic, repeat visits, referrals, sales and more plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Cross-Site Request Forgery in all versions up to, and including, 2.7.1. This is due to missing nonce validation on the reset_installation() function. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to reset the plugin’s installation via a forged request granted they can trick a site administrator into performing an action such as clicking on a link.
