Research Description: Short URL [shorten-url] < 1.6.5 (closed) Short URL <= 1.6.4 - Authenticated (Subscriber+) SQL Injection The Short URL plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to SQL Injection via the 'idLink' parameter of the reset_link() function called via an AJAX action in versions up to, and including, 1.6.4 due to insufficient escaping on the user supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with minimal permissions such as a subscriber, to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database.
